Today’s Showdown pits the Columbus Blue Jackets against the Chicago Blackhawks. Chicago edges out Columbus in goals scored this year but the Blue Jackets have allowed fewer goals. We are giving most of the nod to the Blue Jackets but will have a couple Blackhawks we are keeping an eye on.
Here’s an Blue Lineup For DFS Hockey 1/29/21 (using DraftKings Values)
Captain J. Korpisalo $15,600 (DK)
Flex __________ $8,400 (DK)
Flex __________ $7,600 (DK)
Flex __________ $6,600 (DK)
Flex __________ $6,200 (DK)
Flex __________ $5,400 (DK)
Jonas Korpisalo should be in net this evening as Elvis Merzlikins played last night. The duo are a lethal tandem that gives the Blue Jackets a ton of confidence. Korpisalo has averaged over thirty saves a game and as such has one of the highest ceilings if they can shut Chicago down.
We have several other solid choices for you on this fine Friday night. Sign up for your free month or dive in head first and get the full years subsrcitption. With several sports to choose from you will never be bored with all the content we are pumping out daily here.
Dominik Kubalik ($8,400 DK) is our one Blackhawk for you today. He comes in much cheaper than Kane and has been quite consistent. The odd thing is that he either scores a point and does not get shots or he scores no points but gets a ton of shots. Either way it works out for us and we like the value.
Oliver Bjorkstrand ($7,600 DK) is just under a point per game this season and is sharing the top line with the up and coming Alex Texier. More on him later. Bjorkstrand has been invaluable for the Blue Jackets and holds solid value going into this contest.
Boone Jenner ($6,600 DK) is a lot like Bjorkstrand in his production this year. Do not let his third line status fool you. His other winger is Cam Atkinson who costs $600 more and has been less consistent. Jenner works hard every shift and we are putting him in our lineup to get us the all around scoring.
Alexander Texier ($6,200 DK). We sounded the alarm the other day and he heeded the call. A goal and four shots are what are catapulting him into everyone’s view. His ceiling will be higher when Laine lands in Ohio but he is using his top time very well and his price has not caught up to his potential.
Max Domi ($5,400 DK) is something of an enigma. He has had big highs and big lows playing for a few NHL teams already in his short career. He scored his first goal for his new club last night and we are hoping it is the start of something big. He has the talent and just needs to put the pieces together.
With only the one matchup we do not have alternates for you today. It is a pretty big coin flip with both sides having some nice upside but we feel as though we found the line and will be holding it. Keep those diamond hands up and tell us how you did on Twitter (@FantasyDFSX). We hope your weekend starts well and gives way to some big wins.
